Harold Schoenhaus, DPM, FACFAS is a board-certified foot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a past president and current fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds staff appointments and operating privileges at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital and Chestnut Hill hospital. Dr Schoenhaus' research and clinical interests are in biomechanics, pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery, including joint replacement surgery and pediatric podiatric surgery. Moreover, Dr Schoenhaus is the surgical editor for PRESENT e-Learning Systems, an online medical education and networking resource dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals throughout the world. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and pioneer in the field of lower extremity pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery. Dr Schoenhaus has authored several landmark articles in peer-reviewed journals and books. In 2015 Dr Schoenhaus was the recipient of the Gallery of Success Award from Temple University.

Robert G Frykberg, DPM, MPH, MAPWCA, FRSM, FFPM (Glasg) is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976. Dr Frykberg went on to complete his residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He served as the President of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society and a Member of the Board of Registration in Podiatry. From 1992 to 1994, he attended the Harvard School of Public Health and graduated with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in quantitative methods. After 21 years of private practice, Dr Frykberg accepted the position as Clinical Dean of the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery prior to moving to Phoenix. After 15 years of dedicated service to our Veterans, Dr Frykberg has decided to retire from his role as Chief of Podiatry at the Phoenix VA Medical Center and as Director of the Phoenix VA Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program. He continues to hold the academic rank of Professor, University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and Adjunct Professor, Midwestern University Program in Podiatric Medicine. Currently, Dr Frykberg is Clinical Professor and Residency Director, Department of Orthopaedics, at UT Health San Antonio, Division of Podiatry in San Antonio, Texas. His research and writing interests have included all facets of lower extremity disorders, but are specifically focused on diabetic foot ulcers, infections, Charcot foot, and wound care. The author of nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, he has also been the Editor of two textbooks: The High-Risk Foot in Diabetes Mellitus (1991) and the Diabetic Charcot Foot (2010). His expertise in the Diabetic Foot translated into hundreds of speaking invitations nationally and internationally with numerous lecture engagements in China, India, Russia, South America, the UK, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, and across Europe.

Marie Williams, DPM, DABPS, DHLS, is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr Williams was the first clinical dean at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and is currently an Adjunct Professor for the school. Dr Williams has been in private practice since 1984. She is currently the Chairman of the Department of Podiatry at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. She has been involved in residency training since 1986 and a Program Director in Podiatric Surgery and Medicine since 1988. Dr Williams is a speaker in the field of foot and ankle surgery as well as limb salvage. She has published several articles on the healing of complex wounds and limb salvage, while also authoring a chapter: Bone Infections in Foot and Ankle Radiology. In August 2014, Dr Williams was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts along with her teammates from Immaculata College. Their team, the Mighty Macs, captured three consecutive Championships. They were considered trailblazers for women sports, and in the 70s they help bring about Title 9 and equality for women in sports. In June 2015 they received the trailblazer award in the women

Johnny Alayon, DPM, MS, FACFAS, received his doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgery in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. He continued his post-doctorate training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio from 1998-2001. Upon completion of his residency training, he worked at Austin Diagnostic Clinic in Austin, TX to be able to train the residents from UTHSC-SA. Dr Alayon then furthered his career by joining Mercy Medical Group in Sacramento, CA from 2003-2008. With a one-year sabbatical in Saudi Arabia from Sep 2006 to Jul 2007 where he worked at the International Medical Center. In an effort to return to academic medicine and work again with resident training, he joined the Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital as full-time staff in 2009. Dr Alayon then transferred with the VA to Puget Sound Veterans Hospital and served as Director of Medical Education and Residency Director. He is now in Ohio where he worked for 2 years at The Ankle and Foot Care Centers being able to work with their fellowship program. Currently he is at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System at their Youngstown facility. He remains actively involved in clinical practice and resident education.

Jaminelli Banks, DPM serves as Head of Advanced Foot Care USA, where she leads a multidisciplinary team focused on limb preservation and advanced wound care. A board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon, Dr Banks specializes in diabetic limb salvage, complex reconstruction, and wound healing. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico and earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine before completing her Diabetic Limb Salvage Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Plastic Surgery, with additional training in orthopedic surgery. Alan Bass, DPM, CPC, FACPM is a Board-Certified podiatrist and CEO of JARALL Medical Management. Dr Bass ran a successful practice in New Jersey until 2024, since finishing his residency in 1994. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Podiatric Medicine as well as the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management. In addition, he is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) by the American Academy of Professional Coders. Nicholas Bevilacqua, DPM, FACFAS is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Binghamton University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his internship and surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers in New York. Subsequently, he pursued an additional year of fellowship training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and limb salvage at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL. This advanced fellowship focused on the conservative and surgical treatment of diabetic conditions affecting the lower extremity, including Charcot foot and ankle reconstruction. Dr Bevilacqua also visited the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia, where he received advanced training on the Ilizarov technique for correcting acute trauma and complex foot and ankle deformities. He is board-certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is trained and certified in Total Ankle Replacement surgery and is one of the few surgeons in Bergen County actively performing this surgery. He has been recognized as one of Bergen County's Top Doctors by Bergen Magazine on multiple occasions. Dr Bevilacqua has published numerous articles on foot and ankle surgery in peer-reviewed journals and has also written several book chapters on the subject. He is an active member of his profession and regularly lectures at state and national levels. He is frequently invited as a faculty member at the ACFAS Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy Surgical Skills course held at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Chicago, IL. Currently, he serves as a member of the Medical Education Committee for Holy Name Hospital and Medical Center. Dr Bevilacqua resides in Haworth, NJ with his wife and two children. He enjoys snowboarding and is an avid cyclist.

While at KSUCPM, he was a recipient of the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, KSUCPM MINT Scholarship, APMA National Scholarship, and North Central Academy of Podiatric Medicine Scholarship. Dr Johnson also served as the face of KSUCPM serving as a Student Ambassador, Academic Council Student Representative and serving as the White Coat Ceremony's Gonfalon Carrier. In addition, as a podiatric medical student, Dr Johnson published several research posters focused on geriatric fall secondary to foot deformities. After graduating from podiatric medical school in 2016, Dr Johnson went on to complete a three-year Podiatric Medicine Surgery Residency (PMSR+RRA) at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, FL. While at AHMC, Dr Johnson served as chief resident in his third year. Dr Johnson was part of AHMC's back-to-back to back ResEdSummit Midwest Residency Rumble 1st Place championship teams (2016, 2017, 2018). Dr Johnson has also managed to present multiple research projects at The Future of Regenerative Medicine Congress, ResEd Summit Midwest Conferences, and Symposium of Advanced Wound Care. During his third year of residency, Dr Johnson was able to publish a peer-reviewed journal article on regenerative medicine. His research emphasis has been focused on regenerative medicine, diabetic limb salvage techniques, and rare dermatological and bone pathologies.

Warren S. Joseph, DPM, FIDSA is a specialist in the treatment of lower extremity infectious diseases. He received his podiatric degree, magna cum laude, from the W.M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Dr Joseph completed his postgraduate training in podiatric medicine/surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Hahnemann University School of Medicine, both in Philadelphia. He is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ.
Dr Joseph is a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and sits on the IDSA Diabetic Foot Infection Guidelines Committee. He is also certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and currently serves as Editor of the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr Joseph lectures extensively, and his presentations have focused on the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections of the lower extremity. He has authored close to 100 publications in the field of lower extremity infections and is the author of the Handbook of Lower Extremity Infections, now in its third edition.

Benjamin Kamel, DPM FACFAS is a highly trained and Board-Certified foot and ankle surgeon. Dr Kamel received his medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences where he graduated near the top of his class with honors and being inducted into the Pi Delta Honor Society. Dr Kamel completed intensive surgical training locally with the additional credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA). He also was elected and served as Chief Resident in his final year of residency. During his residency training, Dr Kamel worked at many different hospitals, most notably completing sports medicine training at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital as well as a high-level trauma rotation at Kaiser Permanente under some of the best-trained surgeons in the profession. Dr Kamel has received extensive surgical training in all aspects of the foot and ankle including sports medicine, trauma, forefoot and rearfoot reconstructions including flatfoot correction, bunion correction, cosmetic surgery, pediatric foot conditions, as well as surgical treatment of degenerative and arthritic conditions affecting the foot and ankle. Dr Kamel has co-authored and published several research articles in the field of foot and ankle surgery. He has also lectured at national conferences on topics related to sports medicine. Brian Loder, DPM, CWS is considered by some, as one of the top Podiatric Surgeons in Michigan. He completed his surgical training at St John's Hospital in 1995 and has been board certified in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery for over 20 years. He served as Chief of Staff at Henry Ford Hospital for six years and continues to be involved in multiple hospital committees to ensure high-quality patient care for our hospital's patients. In addition to Chief of Staff, he was the founder of the Podiatric Surgical Training Program at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and continues to be the residency director. Dr Loder is also the Medical Director of the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital 'Wound Care Center' and treats patients there two days per week. Gary Rothenberg, DPM, CDCES, CWS, is a Board-Certified Podiatrist, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and Certified Wound Specialist who currently holds a Clinical Associate Professor Faculty Appointment within the Endocrinology Division at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Previously, he served as Director of Resident Training and Attending Podiatrist at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Miami, Florida. A graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, he completed 3 years of residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio followed by 4 years of private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. His previous private practice experience and academic practices within the VA and university settings have focused on conservative and surgical management of the diabetic foot. Education has always been his passion -- whether working with students, residents, colleagues, or most importantly, patients, Dr Rothenberg believes education is the key to prevention of diabetes related lower extremity complications.

Jarrod Shapiro, DPM, FACFAS, FACPM is a Board-Certified podiatric foot and ankle physician and surgeon who has been in practice for almost 20 years. He is also a fellow with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr Shapiro has taught at Western University of Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine for the past 13 years and is a full professor and associate dean of clinical affairs.
